Edo North 2023: Unrecognised Ward Executive Passed Vote Of Confidence On Senator Alimikhena

In an enlarged meeting of Ward three in Etsako East LGA on Sunday, February 20, 2022, Senator Francis Alimikhena’s third term bid was roundly repudiated.

In an attempt to maintain a semblance of relevance and lift up the Senator’s Spirit by naysayers , a Group of locals gathered at the home of one of Alimikhena’s Canvassers and passed a purported vote of confidence on him.

As it is widely known that every criminal no matter the intelligence must leave some trials, the names of people who were no where near the meeting were included in the communique. Mr Ozekhome John Imoagene, the authentic Secretary of the recognized Ward Executive bitterly complained that he never attended any meeting and was not part of any Group passing vote of confidence on Alimikhena.

He noted that for the purpose of clarity,he was at the properly constituted meeting of February 20,2022 where the issue of Senator Alimikhena’s third term bid was brought forward by his Canvassers, but was roundly rejected.

He further stated that the Ward wherein he is Secretary does not support Alimikhena’s third term bid. He said” Alimikhena asking for another term at the Senate amounts to Oliver Twist and indicated a man who is not grateful to his Creator.
The purported vote of confidence is seemingly a resort of a sinking Captain.”
It should be noted that the Ward Executive said to have passed vote of confidence on Alimikhena is non existent. The Executive that is recognized at both the LGA, State and National levels of APC is ably led by Mr. Abass Kanabe as the Chairman.

All attempts by the Senator to short change the people’s will by substituting the known Executives with his cronies and hangers-on have been futile.

Senator Alimikhena must be reminded that the gentility of a lion does not remove from its ferocity. The decision that Alimikhena’s third term bid is rejected by the Ward remains sacrosanct.
