2023: Edo North Needs Good Governance
Our attention has been drawn to a particular post by self-acclaimed coalition group of leaders and elders in Owan and Akoko-Edo Local Government Area Edo State.
The group lacks merit especially in the area where the group says, last governorship election in Edo State should be enough reason for Oshiomhole to know that, his services are not longer needed in Edo State. This is laughable because Comrade Adams Oshiomhole pulled out thousands of votes from Edo North that amazed even the incumbent Governor. Oshiomhole has not told anyone that he wants to run for Senate, even though pressure is being mounted on him from all corners to seek the office.
We are beginning to think if this self-acclaimed coalition group was created to serve as an avenue to insult Comrade Adams Oshiomhole? If not why would a statement like this be condoned?
Secondly it is his rights to contest for the Senate seat if he wants to. So what has he done wrong to deserve the insults being directed at him daily just because people are calling on him to contest the Senate seat? Is it not counterproductive to the interest of those who these wayward elements try to serve by making uncomplimentary statements about Comrade, who without doubt remains the most formidable political individual in Edo State till date?
Who the hell is the leader of this unwanted group to dare refer to Oshiomhole as his services are not longer needed in Edo State?
What is their pedigree and the puny politicians they followed achievements compared to Oshiomhole’s pedigree and achievements?
Just as they quoted “Kingmakers don’t struggle to become kings”. Oshiomhole should be proud that he was able to produce a performing Senator like Francis Alimikhena. The incumbent Senator was the saving grace of Edo North in the last Governorship election.
Now that, same Edo are mounting pressure on the people’s Comrade for Edo State APC not to collapse in the hands of PDP sponsors who wants to reduce a circus of insults on our elders.
We are aware of those sponsoring those media miscreants and be rest assured, we shall fish them out in no distance time. The Senator that’s sponsoring a group of unwanted selfa-acclaimed coalition group from Owan to write against our Comrade will not take him anywhere.
Edo-North is APC and APC is Edo-North but the Senator Alimikhena trying to create faction in APC just because he wants to get APC ticket for his third term and he thinks he can get it through insults and creating factions among leadrs will not work.
We believe, an APC party faithful can never join hands in such an unwanted write up. We imbibe all APC faithfuls most especially in Edo to remain steadfast and committed to the progress of this noble party.
