Edo-north APC zones its Senatorial Seat To Etsako West LGA and Endorsed Oshiomole As A Sole Candidate.
A meeting of The 64 ward chairmen, Vice chairmen, Secretaries, youth leaders, women leaders. And the 162 LGA Exco of APC in Edo-north and their leaders in various LGA, senatorial excos, members of the state working committee, and the South-South APC members, the senatorial seat of Edo North was unanimously to Etsako West LGA and they also unanimously endorsed the former National Chairman and former Governor of Edo state Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomole as sole Candidate for the Edo North Senatorial Seat.
This was done by a motion raised by former chairman of chairmen in Edo State Ahj. Abubakar Akokhia and seconded and upheld by several others namely; former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Omogbetha, Hon Abubakar Momoh, Mama Africa, Dr Oyesina from Akoko Edo and other leader each from the six LGA with the support of all present that is the 64 ward chairmen, Vice chairmen, Secretaries, youth leaders, women leaders. And the 162 LGA Ecco’s in Edo-north and their leaders in various LGA, and Edo-north Elders forum .
And Comrade Oshiomole in turn accepted the clarion call of the people and promised not to let the people down. In his response he said “My love towards the greatness of a better Edo North Senatorial district is uncommon. We look forward to redefining Edo North to the best standard. The security of your life and mine are the most important. I will discuss with Senator Alimikhena about my senatorial ambition, at the end. I am sure he will volunteer to be the DG of my campaign”.
Finally, the Leadership of the party setup committee to meet with the incumbent senator, Sen Francis Alimekhena to asked him to drop his ambition of Third Term ambition which is perceived by the entire Edo North people be dead on arrival.
