A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr. Adetutu Owolabi, earlier today, congratulated edo APC as she urged leaders of the APC, and party faithful to do all that is necessary to win the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state slated for September 21st, 2024.
She said this while congratulating the party’s candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa Aka Denco while receiving the party’s flag at the Presidential villa in Abuja.
Adetutu appealed to party leaders to avoid the pitfalls that affected the party’s victory in Rivers, Zamfara and Bayelsa states in the 2019 elections, pointing out that with the resolution of the “acute crisis” in the party in Edo State, she’s optimistic that the party will regain its pride of place in winning elections, and serving the people.
She urged party leaders at the national and state levels to follow the electoral process in an open and transparent manner, adding, “What we all want is a transparent process so that the confidence of the people will be strengthened.”
Adetutu said she trusted the combination of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa Aka Denco as they’re both seasoned grassroots politician who are loved by their people”, noting President Tinubu’s blessings on the candidate further validates the party’s confidence.
She further said the campaign had started on a good and happy note, with the APC already taking over without being told.
