When Has Edo PDP Becomes Nigeria INEC, Withdraw PDP Certificate Now, Empty Certificate Is An Abuse To Democracy – Idodo
Etsako East APC Publicity Secretary Hon Idodo Abdulrasak Emmanuel, on Wednesday, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the Certificate of Return it issued to self acclaimed Edo State factional PDP Candidates loyal to Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Rasak said, celebration of empty certificate is an abuse of democracy in Nigeria, adding that, Senator Ayu Iyorchia, the National Chairman of PDP will crash the party soon because of Party Issues and Illegality everywhere that he cannot resolve with the party.
Recall that, Ayu, earliar today said, Wike was a kid when we formed PDP and that he won’t be resigning as the Party National Chairman.
However, there’s no official statement from court that, those who did not participate in all the party’s primaries process leading to the return of a candidate by INEC should be declared as a candidate and therefore they should not have benefited from the election.
“The law is very clear on this. Those parading themselves to have received certificate of return from State party and not INEC did not participate in all the stages of the primaries election. And court has longed given their judgement by declaring the rightful candidate of the PDP.
Democracy cannot be mortgaged and the law is very straight forward and those who are guilty of the law should face the consequences of the law.
