Ogbona Sons and Daughters Worldwide Association has reacted to Media Attacks Against th Revered Okphe-Ukpi (Village Head) of Ogbona, HRH Edward Umole.

This is contained in a statement signed by Chief David Ugbodaga, Secretary, Ogbona Sons and Daughters Worldwide.

It would be recalled that on the 27th of May, 2024, Ogbona Dasporal America Corporation launched a Media attack against the Okphe Ukpi of Ogbona , HRH Edward Umole.

The Ogbona Sons and Daughters Worldwide, said, Ogbona Diaspora in the Americas Corporation is a faceless organization with a deliberate agenda to distort facts as it relates to the ascension to the exalted stool of the Okpe-ukpi of Ogbona kingdom.

According to them, the self-acclaimed Spokesperson of the faceless Group, Mr. Philip Orbih, is known for concocted stories and notorious for spewing falsehood.

No doubt he is on a sponsored mission to discredit the thorough and well deserving appointment made by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of our dear State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, based on the recommendation of the Eragbhe Ruling House because of his personal and political interest.

“Suffice to say therefore that the writer does not have an iota of knowledge of the Custom and tradition of Avianwu as it relates to ascension to the throne.

His publication was intended to create division in our community, but we are resolute in promoting peace, unity, progress and development:, the statement said.

They asserted that they have chosen not to waste their precious time coaching the Spokesperson the Custom and tradition of Avhianwu as he seems not to be abreast with the traditional realities of Avihanwu.

The Association urged the general public to disregard such a baseless write up in its entirety whose best place is in the trash can.

They therefore used this opportunity to appeal to well-meaning Sons and Daughters of Ogbona in Diaspora to work closely with His Royal Highness, Chief Edward Umole in taking the community to enviable heights.
