EDO NORTH 2023: Uzairue APC Leaders Endorsed Oshiomhole For Senate

Ahead of the 2023 Senatorial election in Edo North, the Leaders and Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Uzairue Kingdom yesterday 7th March, 2022, unanimously endorsed a former Governor of Edo State and immediate past National Chairman’ of APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to Contest for Senate.
The Endorsement, which took place at the Residence of the Leader of the Party at Ikabigbo- Uzairue had in attendance the four Wards Leaders, the 4 Wards Chairmen, the four Wards Women Leaders and the 4 Wards Youths Leaders from the Clan amongst others.
Moving the Motion for the Endorsement of Comrade Oshiomhole to Contest the Senatorial Position, the Chairman of APC in Ward

and Chairman of Wards Chairmen Forum in Etsako West Local Government Area, Comrade Adams Mumin, said , the endorsement became imperative as a result of the track record of achievements of Oshiomhole as a former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Ex Governor of Edo State and recently as National Chairman of the APC.
He noted, that, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole remains the Standard Bearer of Edo North People and urged the People to Key into the Project to move the Senatorial district forward to a higher level.
Seconding the Motion, a leader of the Party in Ward 10 and former Transition Chairman of Etsako West local Government Council, Dr. Bruno Oshionebo, asserted that the Senatorial position will help Oshiomhole to relaunch his Political Career and also enable him to Know the happenings in the party.
The former Council Chairman’ said before the emergence of Oshiomhole as Governor, Edo North was the most Scattered Senatorial district, adding that the former APC Chairman was able to organize the Senatorial district to Speak with one Voice.
In his remark, the Uzairue APC Leader, Alhaji Sadiku Momoh (S.MO) thanked the Leaders for the confidence they have in Comrade Oshiomhole. He commended the Party faithfuls for their commitment and dedication towards the progress and unity of the party in the area.
Alhaji Momoh expressed the hope that the former APC National Chairman will use his wealth of experience to attract good things to the Senatorial district if elected as Senator.
Also speaking, a Chieftain of the Party and a leader in ward 12, Comrade Pascal Ogie, opined that Oshiomhole’s emergence as a Senator will redefine the politics in Edo North Senatorial District as well as Edo State in general. He added that the former Edo Governor brought Edo North from the perifery to epicenter of National Politics. He called on the people of the area to take advantage of the Ongoing Voters
Registration exercise to get themselves registered to be able to Exercise their Voting rights.
A Vote of resounding Confidence was Passed on the former APC National Chairman to Contest the Senatorial Seat.
It will be recalled that for the past six months, several Political Groups, Leaders of thought, Women, farmers, Youths and Students Associations across the State have joined in the call on Comrade Oshiomhole to take a shot at the Senate to be able to provide the needed leadership and curry more benefits for his People.
