EDO NORTH 2023: Etsako West Forum Of APC Ward Chairmen Endorses Oshiomhole For Senate
Ahead of the 2023 Senatorial election in Edo North, the Forum of Etsako West All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Chairmen have unanimously Endorsed a former Governor of Edo State and immediate past National Chairman’ of the Party, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to Contest for Senate.
The Endorsement which took place on Friday at the Etsako West local Government Party Secretariat at Auchi had the twelve Ward Chairmen in attendance.
The Forum called on the former APC National Chairman’ to obey the Clarion call of Edo North People to Contest for the Senatorial Seat, adding that time is of essence.
According to them, the call became imperative as a result of his track record of achievements Oshiomhole as a former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Ex Governor of Edo State and recently as National Chairman of the APC.
They described the former NLC President as a Man Sent from God to liberate his people, noting that Oshiomhole remains the Standard Bearer of Edo North People.
In an interview with Newsmen Shortly after the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum and Ward Chairman of Ward ten, Comrade Adams Mumin, asserted that People are not indicating interest to Contest the Senatorial Seat because they believe in the leadership of Comrade Oshiomhole irrespective of Party affiliations.
His Words ” You can see that Nobody is indicating interest to Contest the Senatorial Seat because the Potential Aspirants Know the quality of leadership Oshiomhole will provide. to the People of the Senatorial district. Even the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are aware of this fact. That is why they are afraid because of the intimidating Actecedents of Oshiomhole” Comrade Mumin added.
A Vote of resounding Confidence was Passed on the former APC National Chairman to Contest the Senatorial Seat.
It will be recalled that for the past six months, several Political Groups, Leaders of thought, Women, Youth and Students Associations across the State have joined the call on Oshiomhole to take a shot at the Senate to be able to provide the needed leadership and curry more benefits for his People.
