Edonews had earlier reported that Adetutu expressed her intention to take over from APC three terms Akoko-Edo House of Representatives, Hon. Peter Akpatason.
Adetutu, following her official declaration has been meeting with stakeholders across the state with newsmen being involved in her trips across the state.
Jacob Olukare while speaking with Edonews reporters on Tuesday said Adetutu is the best House of Representatives, Akoko-Edo Federal constituency aspirant among the aspirants seeking to clinch the HoR ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said, “I am one of those who had asked Adetutu to run. We started it. It’s a Clarion call and our project. We asked Adetutu to run because we feel at this critical time we need a genuine and trusted Akoko-Edo to run, not somebody who is not experienced enough; and not somebody who does not have the pedigree, energy and intellect to run.
“In the APC, we feel the best candidate we can present is Adetutu. We don’t want to use the word that she is better than those who you listed. The best doesn’t mean others are not good enough. When you have very good people, then you pick the best. She is the best.”
Adetutu will be a great candidate for the highest political office in the constituency as she is someone who “has the pedigree, energy and intellect” needed to run Akoko-Edo.
