Lady Adetutu Owolabi has formally declared her intentions to contest the 2023 House of Representatives elections under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Transforming security, completing the reform of the judicial system, improving infrastructure and creating a technology-based economy were a few of the key projects on the agenda of the generous woman.
Declaring her intentions to contest the House of Representatives elections has changed the playing field as members of the ruling party have begun to pitch their tent with either the incumbent House of Representatives member or other aspirants of the party, Adetutu Owolabi, who had earlier declared her intentions to contest. Given Adetutu’s political clout, getting the party ticket will be a keen contest.
Lady Adetutu Owolabi is a competent and generous lady who has mutual understanding between the Akoko-Edos and its constituency. She’s a nurse who knows the pains of her people. However, by standards of Nigeria’s political class, she can be considered a political lightweight compared to her main counterparts.
