Vandalism of Chief Jarrett Tenebe’s Billboards Will Not Deter Him — Idodo Abdulrasak Emmanuel
A brazen act of vandalism was perpetrated today in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, as unidentified hoodlums, allegedly sponsored by certain busybodies, destroyed Chief Jarrett Tenebe’s billboards prominently displayed at the Auchi Polytechnic School Gate By-Pass. This malicious act is believed to be a retaliatory response to the recent installation of the billboards, which boldly proclaim “NO VACANCY IN EDO STATE APC CHAIRMANSHIP”
The destruction of the billboards has been widely condemned as a cowardly attempt to silence Chief Tenebe and undermine his leadership within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State. However, sources close to Chief Tenebe have assured that the billboards will be replaced as soon as possible, underscoring his unwavering commitment to his principles and his unshakeable resolve in the face of adversity.
Comrade Idodo Abdulrasak, a political son to Chief Tenebe, has vehemently denounced the vandalism, stating that such acts of intimidation will not deter Chief Tenebe from his unwavering dedication to the APC and the people of Edo State. “The destruction of our billboards is a futile attempt to suppress our message and undermine our leadership. We will not be silenced or intimidated. Instead, we will continue to promote our vision for a stronger, more united APC in Edo State.”
The installation of the billboards had earlier generated some controversy, with certain individuals questioning the rationale behind their placement. However, it is clear that vandalism was not a spontaneous act, but rather a premeditated attempt to disrupt Chief Tenebe’s efforts to promote his message and connect with the people of Edo State
As the people of Edo State prepare for the upcoming elections, it is essential that they remain vigilant and reject such acts of vandalism and intimidation. The destruction of Chief Tenebe’s billboards is a stark reminder of the challenges that lie ahead, but it also underscores the importance of standing firm in the face of adversity and promoting a message of hope, unity, and progress.
